WOW!!! It's been a longggggg time!!!

It's been so long since I've visited my blog that I had to reset my password just to get in! I guess Facebook has taken over my time and many of you are there also, so I just forgot all about updating the blog. For those of you who are not on my FB, feel free to add me! :)
Tomorrow is my birthday YAY but my husband is out of town on a job BOO so me and the kiddo are going to the movies tonight, his treat ;) I love my kid and our conversations. Todays topic was; when you are ready to get baptized, would it be up in Indiana with your family, here at the house in the pool, or in the ocean?! His only response was "there's not enough room around our pool for everybody to be here." <3 How sweet is he that his vision is to be sorrounded by his church family. I told him that it looks like it'll be in Indy then, since he expects everybody to be there! I LOVE IT! He's so wonderful. He loves our church and everybody in it so much. THAT makes me HAPPY!! :)

Coming to Indy!!

David and I will be coming to Indiana Friday, June 26. I wanted to give a heads up to everybody as to what we are doing so I can try to be able to see EVERYBODY in the short time we will be in town. We miss everyone and hope you'll be able to meet with us. so, our agenda looks like this, but may change if the weather does not cooperate..praying for NO RAIN. Late Friday, come into town. Saturday: Spending the day up north to see my family and friends in the Pendleton/Lapel/Anderson area. Sunday: Church on Southport Rd. After church, lunch..chinese? Then going to Plainfield Park, approx 2pm. Bring your play things, I want to fly a kite!! LOL Monday: Spending the day with John, Brittany, and Brooklynn to celebrate Brookie turning 2!! Tuesday: Spending the day with Timmy, Mandy, and Kerah to celebrate Kerah turning 2!! Wednesday: Swimming at the aquatic center in Plainfield!! Come join us!!! and then Church at Southport Rd. Thursday: Heading back to FL..trying to avoid 4th of July weekend traffic. I hope to see as many of you as possible. It's so hard to get around to see everyone..and loved ones are always missed. I figure the park is the best way to get to spend time with everyone and not have to lose precious time traveling to each individuals homes. I LOVE YOU ALL!! See you soon!!

DJ is FINALLY at his last day of school for this year! Now our summer can begin! I have a feeling it is going to go by WAY to fast.. We are planning on a few visitors this summer that I am TOTALLY looking forward to! and Tim is trying to line some work up in Indiana so we can spend some time there with church and family. I'm really looking forward to that, too!

Today was a school field trip to Universal Studios..It rained pretty hard, but it was FUN! So, guess who was in DJ's group of friends..Joe..yep, Joe the bully..now known as Joe the BUDDY! Thank you for the prayers for that situation!! Praise God!!! This mother's heart is SOOO comforted!! You know, this field trip was so much more than just a super cool place to go..It let me see that DJ is finally adjusting to our move here. The field trip we took to the zoo in January had me concerned because he just didn't seem to know where he belonged, but now.. I'm so thankful to see how much he has grown and that he has started to adapt to life at his new school with new friends. He was very happy today, and therefore I am very happy.

Other news, my little grandbabies are turning 2! I can't believe it! It happens so fast. Brooklynn's birthday was May 19th and Kerah's birthday is June 2nd. We miss them sooooo bad. Planning on seeing them in June!!

Tim is strong and healthy, although he has had some funny activity with his heart. The other night he was afraid to go to sleep because he said he was having heart palpitations. He stayed up til around 4am and got out of bed at 10. I'm very concerned. He could use your prayers. He has had heart issues ever since I've known him.

We've had a lot of visitors here the last 6 months or so. It's been great! It has really helped me not feel so seperated! I'm adjusting to life here, although I miss church and my brethren terribly. I hope that NEVER goes away. If I stop missing it, then I'm in trouble! I've been trying to catch up with everybody on here. I've seen the sorrows and the joys and I'm glad to be able to pray for you and your loved ones.

Here's a pic of that storm Sis Frankie was referring to a few weeks ago. I took it from the top of the St. Augustine Lighthouse. Let me tell ya, seeing a storm cloud like that will get your prayer wheels turning!! lol. Tim thought it was a beautiful pic. It made him imagine the heavens opening up. It is rather beautiful..now that it's not a threat anymore! ;)

COMING HOME

I just booked flights for me and David to come to Indy from Feb 13-Feb 16. Tim and I thought he needed to be around church, family, and friends for a weekend to help build him up after everything he's been through lately. We will be getting in late on Friday. Saturday we will be getting some things from the house and spending time with family and seeing his pals in the nieghborhood, i imagine. Sunday we will be a church *yay* and then I'm going to have a get-together to celebrate his 13th birthday Sunday around 3. I'll let you know for sure where when I figure it out! It will be a great reason to get together and show him that everyone is still a huge part of his life even though he is far from home. He actually asked if he could have a birthday party there so he could spend time with everyone. He misses everyone. I can't wait! Love you ALL!!

oh..on the bully situation..looks like they are partners in Tech Ed class. When I asked if it was assigned, he said, "No, we chose to be". He's so easy to forgive. I love him so much. He's so good. Continue to pray about it, please.

David's birthday

My baby boy is a teenager today! I can't believe it. I so don't want him to grow up. I want to keep him forever as my little boy. What am I to do? I'm already beginning to feel the "empty-nest syndrome" kicking in. *sigh* He's such a good boy. Thank you to my brethren that was aware to pray for him concerning his "bully" at school. We contacted the school and the counselor observed the boys,witnessed it happening. Then reported it to the Dean. The dean talked to the boy and DJ says that the boy is trying to be his friend now. I told him that I had asked Grandma to ask for prayer and he was glad. Praises to God for taking care of this for him. <3 Love you all.

Hey all. I'm still fighting off this cold, but I'm getting better. I'm super excited today because Timmy, our oldest, is flying in to stay for a couple weeks! He was recently laid off from his job, and since Eddie (our cousin that was down here helping Tim work) has recently returned home to be back with his family, Timmy is coming to help his dad out. YAY! David is super excited to be with his big brother. It will be nice having him in the house again. I know that kiddo's grow up and move out, but sometimes...JUST SOMETIMES...it's nice to have them back for a minute. Lots of Love! Gotta go clean and prepare! YAY!

I love Christmas time! It'll be even that much better with more family around. This is my tree. I couldn't fit my pretty angel topper in the pic, but you can kinda see my carousel under the tree. And I love the fireplace with the stockings. When I was young, my mom always put the best presents in my stocking. It was the best to me anyway. She would hide a small gift in a bunch of candy that would be sentimental just between her and me. Sometimes it would be a ring from her jewelry box that I admired, or a bottle of perfume that I loved or my diamond necklace that broke and I lost :( The stocking was my favorite part of the holiday. I try to do the same for my kids with stockings. A little something extra...just from mom.

I'm sick cough cough

I have been sick since we got back from Indy. My throat started itching on the way back and I've been blah ever since...coughing, sneezing, drippy nose..ugh. I'm glad it happened after the family gatherings and not before. I would have felt that I needed to stay away as to not get everyone sick. So I am thankful for the timing...but not thankful for the sickness. I did spread it to my poor husband, though. And he went to work everyday this week with it. Poor guy.

It was good to be up with the family and in meeting again. I did handle it better this time when it was time to come back. Thank you for the prayers about that. It was torture last time. I didn't know how I was going to re-live that feeling over and over everytime I wanted to visit and had to leave again. My heart is still there, but I was okay with coming home to FL. It was actually nice to get back to the warmth. It is super weird running the air conditioner in December though! I hadn't really been out all week with being sick and all, so when I had to do some errands the other day, I put on my jeans, my favorite sweater (I LOVE SWEATERS!) and went out the door...turned around and came right back in and threw on a t-shirt! It was hot outside! My seasonal insticts are completely thrown! lol

OK! 1st of all...Inspired by Sis Jackies discussion of oldies music...I was reminded of how much I loved The Monkees as a kid. Not the animals..although cute, they can be disgusting..the group/band/performers is what I'm speaking of. I use to watch the show with my brother and laughed when I came across this track. SO, with the change of music, you have entered into a part of my childhood that brought me much laughter!!

I was glad to be back home in IN. It was much needed for myself and my son. We arrived Saturday night, Gleefully went to church Sunday morning, had a WONDERFUL lunch and visit at the Chinese place, and received love and joy from all that I have so badly missed. David did not want to leave. He is at home with the church. I melt when I witness how he glows when in the presence of the brethren and the other children.

After lunch, David and I headed north to sit with Grama. Although I had heard she was doing great, when I arrived it seemed the opposite. She was in and out thru stomache pain and nausea. She would hold my hand and when I would think she was sleeping and pulled away, she eagerly sought me out again. It was very sad. I prayed before I left her and had to pull myself away. It was very hard for me not to just set up camp right there by her side. It was good to see my brother and my mother there. And on my way back to town I was happy that we were able to stop and have a late supper with my dad and step-mother. The following day I spent with my children and grand-children. They sure were happy to see their Uncle David, too! Tears flowed heavy as I again had to pull myself away from my family. Then Tuesday morning I got the news while sitting at the airport that my grama was worse. I was torn between staying and going and cried very openly at the gate. My husband was very supportive as to whatever I chose. And for the sake of my sanity and knowing the longer I stayed the harder it would be to leave, I came home. I assured Grama that I would come again during Thanksgiving. Honestly I would not have been able to leave without that factor. Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away.

It was a very emotional trip. From extreme happiness to overwhelming sadness. I will have to pray very hard that it gets easier as I visit more. I am glad to be back "here", but I miss "there" so much. I almost didn't post about the trip at all...because I didn't want to feel like a downer...but I know that I am loved here and that it will get better. I thank God that we were safe and even able to have made the trip. I thank God for the brethren, that we have a church to attend and be strengthened and loved in. And I thank God for this blog, that I know we can pray for one another and bring joy and strength and love thru it. I have pictures of the grand-babies that I will try to post soon. They are SO CUTE!

Hey all! I'll be heading to Indy this Saturday! I've been planning on getting up there anyways, but my grama is real sick so I'll be there to see her too. David and I will fly in Saturday night, so I'll see you at church on Sunday! *Chinese anyone?* ;) Then I'll go to see my family up north. I can't wait to see everyone! Love you! JAX Air Show

HI ALL! So last weekend, Sis Tina came down for her son's fall break to be with her husband, who is working with my husband. It was so nice to have someone familiar here. We went to dinner a couple times and spent time together here at the house. And then Sunday, the Jacksonville Navy base had a huge air show! So we all went there. *Just a bit of personally info...my husband was stationed at this Navy base years ago so it was significant to him, and my 12 year old wants to be a pilot someday-LOVES planes-so it was super cool to him, and I LOVE opportunities to pull out the camera-so it was GREAT for me too! ;) *'

There was some pretty cool things happening, like this lady, she's a "wing walker"--crazy if you as me..lol..Can you see her on top there? she unhooked herself and moved around the wings and stuff!

And these parachuters hooked together! I was so afraid they would get all tangled!

And then the touching tributes and fly-by's in honor of our service men through the years and still currently...i cried a couple times.. I'm a bit of a softy...

And it closed with a very long demonstration by the blue angels. A family favorite. We try to go to air shows every year. Love visits from the Blue Angels.

So..it was a great day and a great weekend! I needed it more than I even realized. I'm thankful to God for the beautiful weather we had and the safe trip for a sister and her son.

MISSING YOU

Ok..I am in a total "missing you" mode! I MISS MY BRETHREN! (...hence the new song added to my page) Tim and I was sitting on the back porch earlier today, talking through the bills and such, when he told me that he new I was missing church and that he completely understands me and knows how affected I am by being away. This took me off guard because we were no where near this subject in our conversation. I was about to cry just by his acknowledgment of my feelings when he said.."I will go right now and book you a flight for the weekend if you want me too." Of course, this statement opened the flood gates. He was being very loving and sincere to me. I love his respect and his love towards me. He is a wonderful husband! Although I was very compelled to say yes, I decided I would wait until we are better settled here. SOOO, Lord willing I will be sitting in meeting very soon! We've gotten through quite a bit of our stuff here, but still have quite a bit to put away before we go back for the rest. I LOVE YOU ALL!

WOW! What a tremendously busy week! We finally got the computer set up on Wednesday night, and I've not had a second to sit and type on it til now! It's okay, though. I just needed a few days to get things livable. The kitchen was the first to be unpacked, and the bath neccesities, then the office. Yesterday I took a break and didn't unpack a thing! David and I took Tim's daddy and nephew to the beach while Tim was at work. We all needed to get out of the house. Daddy and JR helped us get down here and unload the trucks and stuff. I'm very thankful for their help. We ended up driving straight through, so it really helped having them to share the driving. We had the big moving truck, my excursion, and another truck with a trailor. AND we still have stuff in the house back in Indiana! We are going to have to fly up and rent another truck to get the rest of it here! We have too much stuff!
Today I'm going to try to get the closets done. It's getting difficult digging thru bags to find something to wear! Oh, and I guess I'll go enroll David in school today, too. lol. He's had the whole week off. I figured he needed an adjustment period before he was thrown into the mess of a new school. He gets overwhelmed easily and I didn't want to throw him into shock, you know? Plus, Papaw is here! How could I send him off to school and make him miss out on Papaw!
I have pictures of our day at the beach, but I can't remember where I packed the adaptor for my memory card, so I can't get the pics on the computer yet. I'll post a few when I find it. Guess I better get to work on something. blah....I hate this part. Putting things away is NOT my favorite chore... Well, love you. Talk to you soon!

Tim is flying home TODAY!! WOOHOO!! I have missed him! He's been gone since the 10th! He flies in tonight, and wouldn't you know, it's right while we'll be having our Lord's Supper. I will have to put some extra effort in being focused on our Lord, thinking and wondering about his safe arrival. I'm sure it will be fine. I'll gladly choose this moment tonight with my Lord and my Brethren. It will be an extra blessing to come home to my sweet husband afterward. What a great day this is going to be! I'm super happy!

BTW...Timmy is all moved in and settled nicely. He even sent me a message yesterday telling me that he loved me and to thank me for everything! Isn't it a wonderful message to receive from your children?! It still makes my heart flutter to hear those words. It's extra special to hear, not being their birth mother and receiving the love of one anyway.

I'm feeling EXTRA smiley today!! Love Ya!!

WOW!! What a stressful day already!! My oldest is moving out this weekend. His plan was to move today before he had to work tonight. He works from 4pm-2 or 3am on most Friday nights. BUT the apartment complex won't give him the key until 3:00. That ruined all his plans. I told him he has the whole weekend, but I guess the ones that he was hoping to help will be busy, so he is totally stressing! I can't even talk to him when he starts stressing. So here I am, sitting on the computer, passing it off on all of you! :) Just kidding. I'm just writing to write really. I'm fine. He's not. he's grouchy! But what do you do.

My husband was working in Miami yesterday. He finished the job and decided to drive back to the house instead of getting a hotel room. Well, it would normally take like 5-6 hours to travel that kind of distance, but it took them 10 hours! His overdrive went out at first, but they kept going... then the transmission started slipping and it wouldn't shift past 2nd gear. So they drove more than 3 hours in 2nd gear...slowly. I was praying that whole time for their safety. I hated not being there when he finally made it home. I want to hold him so bad and tell him how thankful I was that he was safe and how much I love him and that I'm so sorry he had such a hard time with the van. I miss him so much. It is the only reason I can't wait to move there.

I need to be with my husband. Pray for me about this. It's much harder than normal being away from each other. I think it's because we have so much going on and so many changes in our lives right now and we can't be together to strengthen each other through it all. We keep each other balanced. It's hard to be that for each other with this long of a separation. We do talk to each other often, so that's good. But it's just not the same as actually being together. Next week he works in Miami again, and then I think...I hope...he's coming home. Pray for Sis. Tina in this too. Her husband is with my husband. She seems stronger than me, but I think it MUST be hard for her too.

SO...I pray we ALL have a good day. I know I'm not the only one with things going on. I've been keeping an eye on everybodies blogs. I will remember you in my prayers. I love you much!

AND HE'S GONE.....again

Well, that was a quick 3 1/2 days. Tim left this morning for our house in FL. Jobsites are panicking without him there. His phone rang like crazy yesterday wanting to know when he was going to be back down there. We didn't get anything done really. We just sat around together, soaking up each others company. I think he might be gone for 3 weeks this time, then come home to load us up and take us with him. I have A LOT to do in the next 3 weeks to be ready for him. At least Timmy has found an apartment. Timmy is our 22 year old that has been staying with us. I was VERY concerned about what he was going to do when we left. This is a HUGE relief for me. Well, guess I better get to work. Time goes by soooo fast and I have A LOT to do. Love to you all, jana

YAY! My husband's coming HOME!

Tim is flying home from FL this afternoon! We are SOOOO excited!! It's been 2 weeks and I miss him SOOO much! I'll have him til Tuesday! We have a lot to do while he's here, but at least we'll be doing it together! My tummy has butterflies!

I added a doppler radar to my page for our area in FL. I wanted to keep an eye on the weather there since my hubby has been there. If you look at it, our house is just under the Jacksonville area on the north-east side of FL. You'll see that it's not that far into the state, which means it's not as far as a drive ;)

I love you! Gotta go straighten up the house for Tim's arrival. YAY!

Great Weekend!

So...with all the talk of camping going on for the weekend, it really got me in the mood for a trip too! So 2 sisters and myself, with all our kiddos, decided to go camping for 3 nights at Lincoln State Park! It was a beautiful weekend! No rain, plenty of sunshine, cool evenings, wonderful time. We were 5 minutes away from Holiday World (an amusement/water park here in southern IN) so we visited there during the day.

My son, David, is a bit of a history buff, so he really enjoyed the fact that we were staying in the same area that young Abe Lincoln walked as a boy himself. The beach was clean, the bath house was clean, the DNR patroled regularly. I would definitely camp there again (for any of you that wonder about a safe place to camp). I wish I would have taken more pics at the campsite. The kids collected bugs, we cooked over the fire, tossed the football, explored the paths. It was nice. Peaceful. So I'm not sure how many of you have actually stopped to listen to the words to More Than You'll Ever Know from my playlist, but I put there for you, my sisters. I love this song. It's been a favorite of mine for years. I always think of my sisters and how I've been given this beautiful relationship through Christ with my girls here. And now it reminds me of even you girls out there. I love it. I try to be this way. It's a beautiful example to me of how to be a true friend to you. And it sings to my heart about how many of you have been to me. I love you. This ones for you....

It's Official...

Well...i've been home for about 5 days now...i have to admitt that i've kinda been avoiding this post. I guess putting it in writing like this makes it feel soooo official......We are moving to FL. I'm excited about the fact that my husband is SO much BETTER while we're there and David doesn't cough or complain about his health either...but of course I'm sad because i can't imagine being away from my body of brethren here. it's going to be terribly hard. i will need prayer and encouragement. and visitation!!! Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please !?! ;) I will try to come back here regularly...which shouldn't be hard to convince Tim since we have 2 precious grandbabies here, which I have pics of...

This is Brooklynn Marie...we were at the gardens at the zoo. She got very wet playing in the fountains! She's running barefoot thru the wedding garden here. So cute!!

And this is Kerah Elisabeth...with her birthday hat on! I love my girls sooooo much. I'm missing them already!!!

So, it's official. We plan to move at the end of September. I am praying that God will use me in this new place and perhaps someday we'll even have a body of brethren brought together there. If they are already there, I hope I find them. I've been daydreaming of visiting other bodies of brethren, too. It would be cool to be able to go to the other assemblies as well. I did get a prophecy that I would be visiting other places. hmmmm...it will be interesting to see God's plan for me. I love it when things come together...I didn't expect it like this though. We'll see what happens. I'm just speculating right now. Only He knows what's to come for me...I sure am clueless at the moment! HA!

OK...so please pray for me also about an accident I was involved in yesterday...a man "under the infuence" of drugs rear ended me...and then accidently rammed into the cop's car that came to the scene. The man was arrested...I cried. He kept looking over at me with his head hanging down while he was in handcuffs...unsettling for me. My back hurts and my shoulders are tight. But I'm ok otherwise. Pray for the man also if you feel led...he obviously has issues...and I want him to forget my face. *BLAH* creeps me out...he needs God's mercy and tenderness...as do I.

Another road trip

Okay...Just a heads up, we are heading back to FL in the morning. Tim has work there all next week starting early Monday morning, so we will need to leave at like 6am tomorrow. He will be working until Saturday of next week, so we won't be heading home until Sunday morning. SO...I will miss church for 2 Sunday's in a row again. :( Pray for us for a safe trip and also for this to be our deciding week about moving there or not. I'm feeling pretty strongly that we will, but we are not 100% sure yet. Tim suffers with his health so badly, and I know he sees winter coming as a threat. The warmth truly transforms him back into a functional person and I don't want to see him suffer the cold ever again. Now if I could find brethren there, I would feel so much better about the move. Please, does anyone know of any brethren anywhere around St. Augustine/Jacksonville area???? Or in Florida anywhere?!?! I must find them! Ask around, let me know. Pray for my family. Love you. *hugs to my girls* (please don't cry-I'll always be nearby)
